Assists in overseeing trauma care quality and efficient coordination of patient care from pre-hospital to rehabilitation at ILH and MWH. Functions as a clinical expert to support and develop unit staff in trauma care through collaborative activities. Participates in development and delivery of injury prevention programs focused based on the hospitals’ registry data. Actively participates in data collection and data entry into the Trauma Registry. Consistently utilizes a holistic approach (considering physical, psych/social, spiritual, educational safety, and related criteria) appropriate to the age of the patients served in the assigned service area.

Education: Graduate of a Nursing Program, RN required. Bachelor’s degree required or actively pursuing
Experience: Minimum of three years of emergency/critical care nursing experience required.
License(s)/Certifications: Current RN license in Iowa. Instructor certification for Trauma Nursing Core Course – (or must be willing to obtain).
