Orthopedic Nursing Program Coordinator
Part-time benefit eligible
Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm
The Orthopedic Nurse Coordinator is responsible for the management and monitoring of resources, referrals, assessments, education, and general guidance throughout the continuum of care. The Orthopedic Nurse Coordinator ensures an organized, multidisciplinary approach is utilized in the administration of care to orthopedic patients, from pre-operative visits through after discharge. The Orthopedic Nurse Coordinator supports the delivery of timely services, patient-centered care, improved communication, and quality outcomes. They also serve as an expert in the management and monitoring of compliance to the orthopedic certification requirements.

• Serve as an expert to DNV Orthopedic program certification requirements
• Collaborate with Orthopedic Interdisciplinary Teams to improve patient outcomes
• Perform chart reviews and abstract quality metrics utilizing electronic database
• Assists in formulating policies, protocols and staff education
• Analyze data for patterns and trends, implementing changes as needed
Education:
Associate's Dregree in Nursing required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience:
One-three years successful employment in related field. Hospital RN experience preferred.
License(s)/Certification(s):
Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
Current licensure in good standing to practice as a RN in the state of Iowa.
