Responsibilities

Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes as you:
  • Perform thorough nutritional assessments and calculate individual nutrient needs.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate nutrition care plans based on each patient’s diagnosis.
  • Provide patient and family education and counseling to empower them in their health journey.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Plan and conduct in-service education programs to train and update staff.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, patient-centered care. 

Qualifications

  • Education: A Bachelor of Science in Nutrition/Dietetics is required.
  • Licensure: Must hold valid Dietitian Licensure in  Iowa and/or Illinois based on role location. 
  • Experience: Previous experience with patient nutritional care and strong computer skills are preferred.
