Nurisng Instructor- Professional Development

Allen Hosptial

PRN, 8 hour shifts

 

Provides required course instruction to team members and/or non-team members. Will facilitate an optimal learning experience for all participants. Serves as an adjunct to the instructional responsibilities of the Professional Development staff.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares class materials and teaching/learning aids as needed to foster an optimal learning environment.
  • Conducts structured classes according to established guidelines.
  • Develops schedule with Professional Development department staff, in order to meet the needs of the organization, according to policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborates with Professional Development department leadership to maintain content integrity to be in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Maintains accurate records in cooperation with Professional Development staff.
  • Maintains appropriate credentials for teaching assigned classes.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Bachelor’s Degree in associated field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience teaching classes.
  • RN license.
  • Certification or credentials required to fulfill role: (BLS, ACLS/PALS, Epic, etc.).
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Organized, good attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to operate audio-visual equipment and demonstrates strong computer skills.
