Overview

Shift: 8:00am-4:30pm; 5 days a week. 

 

Performs duties under supervision of the Medical Director, Program Director, and/or Clinical Coordinator as appropriate for the program. Is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the hyperbaric chamber(s) and related support systems. Is responsible for the day-to- day maintenance on the hyperbaric chamber(s) and related support systems.

Responsibilities

 

  • Performs duties and procedures as directed by Program Director, Medical Director, and in some cases the Clinical
  • Performs hyperbaric chamber operations and system maintenance as requ
  • Make appropriate entries for daily hyperbaric treatments and wound care clinic visits including photo uploading.
  • Should assume responsibility  for  the  safe  and  effective  operation  and  maintenance  of  the hyperbaric chamber(s) and related systems and ancillary com
  • Should provide leadership and safety training to other hyperbaric facility personnel.
  • Must be responsible for maintaining all facility safety-related standards as required by various licensing and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensures department compliance with NFPA 99, Hyperbaric Facilities (current edition) and with unit safety policies and procedur

Qualifications

Education:

 

High chool diploma or general education degree(GED) or Certificate equivalent

 

License(s)/Certification(s): 

 

  1. Be actively certified and/or licensed in one of the following vocations:
  • Respiratory Therapist
  • Corpsman (Military)
  • Medical Services Specialist
  • EMT-Basic or Paramedic
  • Registered Nurse, LPN, or LVN
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA)
  • Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT)
  • Physical Therapist
  • Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Nurse Practitioner
  1. Successfully complete a DCS approved HBO Safety course.
  2. Must have completed a National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology approved hyperbaric medicine introductory
