• Deliver rapid, hands-on care to patients in critical situations

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the ER team in a fast-paced environment

• Perform triage, assessments, and emergency interventions

• Assist with procedures and monitor patient status

• Provide reassurance and support to patients and families during high-stress moments

• Keep equipment and supplies ready for anything the ER throws your way

Experience: 

• Minimum of three (3) years's experience on a paramedic ground service or related experience

Certification/License: 

• Current Paramedic license in the state of Iowa
• Must obtain NIHSS within 90 days of hire and maintain every two years thereafter
• Certification in BLS, ACLS and PALS according to standards of the American Hearth Association obtained within 90 days of hire
• Completion of four (4) hours of stroke education prior to the end of orientation and annually
