Assists with rehabilitative care to improve functional goals of persons served as directed by the Physical, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Pathologist. This may include preparation of patient for therapy, assisting with ambulation, exercises, and other basic treatments. Creates a comfortable and safe environment. Care Delivery:
• Works with the licensed therapist in the treatment preparation of persons served. This may include assisting with exercise, gait, hot and cold application, and hydrotherapy, reinforcing rehabilitation techniques under the direction and supervision of the licensed therapist.
• Assists with cleaning/inventorying equipment and ordering supplies.
• Reports any questions or concerns regarding compliance immediately to the attention of department or organization/hospital administrative staff.
• May be requested to assist with managing supply acquisition and stocking.
• Demonstrates the knowledge that patient and workplace safety is a priority by preventing errors, accidents and infections and reporting potential or actual concerns immediately.
• Supports evidence - based practices.
• Displays creativity and innovation in the delivery of services.
• Manages resources to maintain efficient and effective operations.
• Demonstrates initiative to improve quality and maximize patient experience.

Education: Graduation from high school or GED.
Experience: Prior related health care experience preferred.
License(s)/Certification(s): Current BLS (CPR).
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be able to communicate effectively with people of diverse professional educational and lifestyle backgrounds. Knowledge of basic computer skills.
Other: Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
