*Float position. Primary location Prairie Parkway Family Medicine, secondary location Prairie Parkway Internal Medicine and UMP Internal Medicine.

1.0 FTE, Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week, Daytime Hours within Clinic Hours

Responsibilities

  • Room patients and obtain vitals, medical history, and reason for visit

  • Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments including pap smears, pelvic exams, and prenatal visits

  • Administer injections and medications as directed

  • Perform basic lab tests, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing

  • Provide patient education and instructions for follow-up care

  • Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)

  • Support a positive, team-focused clinic culture

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants.
  • Current CME certification for Certified Medical Assistant and AAMA, NCCT, NHA or AMT (RMA) certification
  • Meets educational/competency requirements per policy.
  • Previous clinical experience in a medical office preferred.
  • Computer data entry experience.
  • Mandatory Reporter certification.
  • CPR certification.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Able to write, read, comprehend and speak fluent English.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous clinical experience in a medical office preferred
