The Unit supervisor: Provides leadership as part of unit management team. Coordinates unit management activities in conjunction with manager/director. Facilitates unit staff development in collaboration with manager/director. Carries out the day-to-day operation plan of the unit under the direction of the manager/director. Serves as a resource to other health team members on the assigned unit. Works collaboratively with other departments to facilitate cost effective health care.
One year experience as a clinical nurse. Current Iowa license to practice as a RN. Writes, reads and speaks fluent English. Completion of basic management courses within one year. Dept of Labor Level III (Medium) Work. Candidates must successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment strength and agility test at Medium Level of Work.
