Responsibilities

Operational & Staff Management/Leadership 

  • Responsible for hiring, evaluation and training development of department team. 
  • Oversees the day-to-day management of the department and department staff, establishing work assignments and schedules, setting expectations and reviewing staff needs. 
  • Provides leadership to the technicians that encourages staff empowerment, decision-making and planning to ensure effective, efficient operations. 
  • Utilizes available tools and data to measure and monitor performance related to quality of care, patient safety and patient satisfactionCreates action plans for areas needing improvement. 
  • Monitors and supervises implementation of the nursing process ensuring that documentation reflects the nursing process and compliance to appropriate practice guidelines. 
  •  

Budget/Financial Management 

  • Properly manages budget to ensure efficient utilization of dollars and FTEs.  
  • Prepares yearly operational budget and capital budget 
  • Takes initiative to contain/reduce costs. 
  • Actively seeks and identifies strategies or sources of revenue enhancement. 
  • Monitors monthly revenue, expenses and payroll. 

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

 

Diploma from an RN program; BSN preferred

Current licensure in good standing to practice as a RN in primary state.  Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state.

Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
