A LMS Analyst is a consultant who designs, implements, and manages a company’s or organization’s learning management system in partnership with key business leaders. The specialist will leverage technology to elevate organizational learning ecosystem through cross functional collaboration to assess learning needs, design tailored solutions, and implement effective programs that align with business objectives.

 

Deep Understanding of adult learning principles, industry best practices and emerging trends that drive the creation of engaging content.

 

Duties include managing and customizing the LMS platform, uploading course content, tracking the progress and performance of learners, and providing users with technical assistance and training.

Responsibilities

Instructional and Curriculum Design 

  • As a solutions driven professional, you will contribute to the design and delivery of efficient learning experiences and maximizing the impact of employee development programs
  • Ensures that training content is running properly at all times within the various learning platforms - without interruption, quality degradation, that could diminish the overall user experience.
  • Modify instructional materials and identify opportunities to improve the overall effectiveness of training and delivery. Ensure a wide variety of learning opportunities are available and engage key adult learning principles.
  • Provide LMS training and support to internal and external staff, students, and users.
  • Creates curricula for and installs all eLearning modules to support end user learning and proficiency including both LMS and EHR vendor supplied modules, custom modules created by subject matter experts, and end user proficiency tests and evaluations.
  • Works closely with Education Specialists/leaders to accurately define, design, develop and implement LMS curriculum build to support role-based training.
  • Develop and organize training material and content into meaningful learning modules, which are then deployed in E-Learning software.Apply tested instructional design theories, practices and methods. 
  • Design performance-based and knowledge-based tests to assess understanding and measure learning of training content.
  • Provide quality assurance for new and revised offerings, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement. 
  • Schedule and maintain all classes in the LMS pertaining to EPIC, coding, CEU opportunities, patient experience, employee engagement, and other areas as identified by leadership. 

 

Learning System Administration/Vendor Management

  • Monitors data feed from Lawson for accuracy and reports discrepancies to IT and LMS vendor for resolution.
  • Maintains active user totals in LMS to ensure that users are deactivated in a timely manner to support current vendor contractual requirements as needed and defined.
  • Coordinates LMS system setup including complex learning activities and workflow communication processes. Set and maintains security roles and access levels.
  • Maintains data integrity rules and processes, such as course descriptions, course or class changes, instructors, and delivery costs.
  • Manages the eLearning module lifecycle process as it relates to the LMS.
  • Provides database support, maintenance, upgrades, security, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Responsible for user management, content upload, system configuration, ensuring user-friendly UI experience, customize solutions/features to organization needs, troubleshooting technical issues, providing user support, and assisting in the integration of new learning technologies.

Analytics

  • Works with leadership to define required training progress reports and collaborates on the design, development, and delivery.
  • Provide historical data to assist in the determination of online training key/license quantities.
  • Customize reports to monitor annual education completions or other required curricula or certifications.
  • Demonstrates initiative to improve quality and customer service.
  • Balances team and individual responsibilities, objective and open to other’s views, gives and welcomes feedback, contributes to positive team goals, puts success of team above own interest.
  • Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of customer service by striving to exceed customer expectations.
  • Performs functions other than described due to extenuating circumstances.

Qualifications

Education: 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

Experience: 

  • 2 years of learning and development experience
  • 2 years’ Experience in Human Resources or Information Technology

License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
