Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiology Technologist to join our team at a Family Medicine Clinic in Iowa. This role is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, safety, and clinical excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine diagnostic radiologic procedures (X-rays) as ordered by providers

  • Ensure proper patient positioning and image quality

  • Maintain and operate radiology equipment in accordance with safety protocols

  • Observe strict radiation safety guidelines for patients, staff, and self

  • Obtain patient history and explain procedures clearly to ensure patient comfort

  • Document procedures and upload images accurately within the EMR system

  • Assist clinical team with patient care tasks as needed (e.g., rooming, vitals)

  • Communicate effectively with physicians and clinical staff regarding imaging needs

  • Maintain compliance with clinic policies, state regulations, and HIPAA standards

  • Participate in ongoing education and certification updates

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology

  • Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

  • Valid Iowa Permit to Practice Radiography (issued by the Iowa Department of Public Health)

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Completion of Mandatory Reporter training (dependent adult and child abuse)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative clinical team

  • Proficient in using electronic medical records and radiology systems
