Sterile Processing Tech I
Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week)
Evenings, 12:30 pm - 9:00 pm, for 80 hours per pay period. There is a holiday and weekend rotation.
The Sterile Processing Department (SPD) is a critical unit to the operating room, they are responsible for cleaning, decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, storing, and distributing medical instruments. Acting as the heart of infection prevention, the SPD ensures that every instrument that encounters patients is properly processed to prevent healthcare-associated infections and ensure patient safety. It is a small but mighty team that takes great pride in their work.

This position is responsible for collecting, identifying, inspecting, cleaning, assembling, processing and sterilizing patient care equipment and medical supplies in support of all hospital and clinical areas for the care, diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Education:
High School Diploma/GED required.
