We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Specialty Nurse (LPN or RN) to join our busy OB/GYN Clinic in West Des Moines, Iowa. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment, supporting women's health services including obstetric, gynecological, and reproductive health. This role involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities to ensure seamless patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform nursing assessments and collect patient histories.

• Assist providers with OB/GYN exams, procedures (e.g., pap smears, colposcopies, IUD insertions), and in-office treatments.

• Provide prenatal and postnatal patient education and counseling.

• Administer medications, injections (including vaccines and hormone therapies), and monitor for adverse reactions.

• Manage follow-up communications with patients regarding test results, medication refills, and care instructions.

• Coordinate care with labs, imaging, and specialty providers as needed.

• Document patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).

• Ensure exam rooms are properly stocked and maintain infection control standards.

• Participate in team huddles and quality improvement initiatives.

Required:

• Active Iowa LPN or RN license in good standing.

• Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support).

• Previous experience in women's health, OB/GYN, or a related specialty preferred.

• Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.

• Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic experience a plus).

Preferred:

• 1+ year of nursing experience in an outpatient clinic setting.

• Familiarity with prenatal care workflows and common gynecological procedures.

• BSN preferred
