We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Internal Medicine Clinic team in Iowa. The Clinical Nurse will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care by supporting internal medicine providers, coordinating care, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.
This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced outpatient setting, values teamwork, and is committed to improving the health of adult and geriatric patient populations.
Room patients and collect vital signs, medical history, and medication lists
Perform medication administration, immunizations, and injections as appropriate to licensure
Triage patient concerns by phone or in-person and provide clinical advice under provider direction
Assist with diagnostic procedures, in-office treatments, and chronic disease management
Provide patient education on disease prevention, medication adherence, and follow-up care
Accurately document all patient interactions and procedures in the EMR system
Review and manage incoming test results, provider messages, and patient communications
Support care coordination, including referrals, prior authorizations, and follow-up scheduling
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with clinic protocols
Uphold HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standards
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current Iowa license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN)
High school diploma or equivalent
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Mandatory Reporter training (child and dependent adult abuse) – current or willing to complete
Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when needed
Strong attention to detail and patient confidentiality
