Licensed Practical Nurse:

• Is aware of department compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs (eg. Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste and abuse. Brings any questions or concerns regarding compliance to the immediate attention of department or administrative staff.
• Purposefully conducts all aspects of the job in an ethical manner in support of the organization’s commitment to ethical behavior in all areas of personal and professional activity.
• Demonstrates a positive cooperative attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to change to meet department goals.
• Provide whole person, integrated care with primary focus on the treatment of mental health conditions within an outpatient clinic.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatric providers, reception and scheduling staff, care coordinators, and other team members to ensure client needs are met.
• Job tasks include rooming patients, completing health questionnaires (vital signs, medications, mental health symptoms, concurrent physical health or substance use disorders, etc.), processing refill requests, communicating assessment results, lab reports, pharmacy inquiries, and client concerns with psychiatric providers.
• Performs additional duties as may be assigned to ensure complete service to all customers.

Certified Medication Aide:

• Sets up and distributes medications according to physician’s orders.
• Participates in total resident care through the development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of each individual resident’s care plan; including the physical, psycho/social, legal, spiritual needs of   the resident.
•  Provides 1:1 interaction with residents.
•  Participates in the development, implementation, facilitation, and evaluation of resident  programming.
•  Participation in the resident orientation program.
• Completes documentation of any changes in programming, as outlined in care plans or in addition to care plans, on an on-going basis.
• Participates in mandatory educational programs.
• Participates in intrafacility committees as assigned by administrator.
• Attendance is an essential part of this position.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must have the CMA certificate from an accredited program (must provide copies of certificates of completion). Desirable to have a minimum of two years work experience with an emphasis in human                    services/mental health/mental retardation, and/or gerontology. Or Iowa LPN 

• Experience with persons in recovery from mental illness and/or substance use disorders preferred. Must demonstrate creative and solid decision-making skills, compassion, and contribute to a positive office           culture

• Valid Iowa Driver’s License or ability to get one shortly after employment.

• Results of Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet the requirements for violations as set forth in AbbeHealth’s Vehicle Fleet Driving Program.

• Carry current automobile insurance in accordance with AbbeHealth’s policies.
