Experience Specialist - Provider Scheduling

UnityPoint Clinic - Multispecialty

Cedar Rapids, IA

Part-time: 0.5 FTE, 20 hours/week

 

Clinic Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

 

This Experience Specialist (ES) role will be non-patient-facing and focused primarily on provider scheduling support for our Multispecialty team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain provider scheduling for 25 physicians and APPs across three sub-specialties

  • Create and update EPIC schedule templates in collaboration with providers

  • Coordinate and communicate provider schedules to all relevant teams

  • Track and process provider PTO and time-off requests

  • Serve as the primary contact for overall provider schedule management

  • Ensure accurate and timely updates to all scheduling systems and documentation

Qualifications

  • High School or Vocational School graduate.
  • Ability to effectively enter information into a variety of computer programs.
  • Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to interact effectively with physicians, health care team members, individuals and members of their support systems.
  • Previous medical office experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with an electronic health record or medical office software preferred.
  • Previous experience coding diagnoses and procedures with ICD-10-CM and CPT preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
