Overview

RYC Support Services Technician Float

Hours Between 7:30am-9:00pm

Davenport, IA

 

This position is responsible for providing coverage in behavioral health specific service line offices with support service tasks during absences of the staff permanently assigned to those locations.  During trainings, partial or whole approved periods of PTO or for call outs this staff would be utilized to ensure there are no interruptions to patient care and would be responsible for maintaining 85% of normal permanent support’s work assignments.

Responsibilities

Reception/Office Support 

  • Answer the telephone promptly and direct calls to the appropriate departments. 
  • Greet clients and the public; ascertain the purpose of their visit and direct them to the appropriate staff or location or assist with coordinating services. 
  • Assist clinical staff with clerical requests. 
  • Order and replenish office or clinical supplies. 
  • Assist with coordination of crisis response when necessary. 

Registration 

  • Accurately and thoroughly collects and records client demographics into electronic medical record. 
  • Enter insurance and establish behavioral health guarantors. 
  • Scanning of insurance cards and releases of information. 
  • Explains registration paperwork to client and obtains required signatures on documents. 
  • Collects copays and other self-pay balances. 

Scheduling. 

  • Schedule initial and follow-up appointments for clients. 
  • Manage registration work queues by reviewing upcoming appointments for funding and missing documentation. 
  • Verify demographic information and complete screenings at each visit and update as necessary. 
  • Verify RTE responses and update as appropriate 
  • Reschedule or cancel appointments as requested for provider schedule changes. 

Qualifications

Education: High School graduation (or GED) including courses in office procedures.
