Overview

Responsible for providing coordination and support to programs of Aging Services, along with promoting and supporting the objectives of Aging Services, Inc.  Responsible for providing support for the  Director of Aging Services.  Performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the Mission of Aging Services.

Responsibilities

·        Creates client files and maintains accurate, complete and confidential reports for assigned programs.

·        Assists with reporting requirements for all programs.

·        Contributes to website and other media activities.

·        Provides clerical support to all programs as assigned.

·        Creates and maintains individual filing systems of manuals, correspondence, documents, etc.

·        Coordinates application, intake, funding and outcome paperwork for assigned programs.

·        Works collaboratively with work groups and agency staff.

·        Ensures phone coverage with the Community Service Programs.

·        Compiles and maintains client data including demographics and outcome measures for multiple programs.

·        Completes check requests and billing for services.

·        Provides administrative support for Director.

·        Participates with Aging Services staff in outreach and community collaboration activities.

·        Assumes other duties as assigned.

·        Exhibits flexibility, adaptability and confidentiality.

·        Ability to communicate professionally both in writing and verbally.

·        Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.

Qualifications

·        Minimum of high school diploma, Associates of Arts Degree preferred.

·        Completion of Iowa Dependent Adult Abuse Training in accordance with Iowa law.

·        Valid Iowa Driver’s License

·        Must carry current automobile insurance in accordance with Abbe’s policies.
