Shift: Monday - Friday 2:30pm-11pm with every other weekend and holiday

Maintains the cleanliness of the Health System including, but not limited to, public areas, patient rooms, offices, corridors, restrooms, bath and showers, elevators, stairways, exam rooms, laboratories,
diagnostic and procedure areas, and at the exterior of entrances. Cleans and extracts carpet and upholstery per plan and request. Assists with moving furniture, beds and approved conference room
setups as per job hazard analysis. Delivery of patient care items.
Education:
Must be at least 18 years of age. High School diploma or equivalent desirable, but not required.
Experience:
Previous Environmental Service (housekeeping) experience in a health care facility desirable, but not required. Primarily on the job training.
License(s)/Certification(s):
The ability to obtain and understand MOAB training is required. Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to follow detailed instructions and respond to pagers. Ability to read and hear, and write English at a level that supports communication with patients, visitors, and staff. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to relate to others in a caring, tactful and courteous manner in less than calm circumstance. Basic computer skills (i.e. net-learning, e-mail).
Other:
Equipment operated includes: concentrated or ready to used chemicals, roto, floor buffers, vacuums, mops, large buckets and wringers, carpet extractors, floor scrubber, battery operated vacuum, auto scrubber, Microfiber mop/cloths, scoops, high dusters, johnny mops, cardboard packer, Voceras and carts. PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Protective clothing required includes nitrile gloves, sometimes goggles, face shield, surgical mask, shoe covers, protective gown, knee pads, and cloth gloves for working with Calcium Chloride.
