Day Shift, Full-time

Location: On-site in Des Moines, IA with occasional travel.

In partnership with the Transfer Center leadership team, this position will focus on creation and execution of metrics, reports, and action plans for key projects within and supporting the transfer center operations. This role will focus on monitoring of designed workflows surrounding transfer and acceptance of patients into UPH to ensure operations are working as designed. Project types will focus heavily on process review and improvement, professional practice alignment data, technology deployment and optimization, and metric/KPI monitoring. Reporting to the Director of the system transfer center, this role will frequently interact, partner, and present to a wide variety of leaders in all markets, Utilization Management, Strategy, and Finance.  Other collaborative partnership opportunities will align with the strategic plan for UPH and align with other strategic initiatives.

Program Management:

• Utilize established project management standards, processes, policies, methodologies, and tools to manage timelines and resources.
• Oversee project communication strategies, including verbal and written materials.
• Develop and track quality, performance, and usage metrics and prepares printed and electronic reports for communication of the data as part of the project status reporting.
• Ensure project work is aligned with the system initiatives and priorities.
• Work closely with divisional and system teams, systems services leadership, and system leaders to ensure reports are completed and distributed on a regular cadence to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Interact with team members, patients, and community partners consistently with the mission & values of UnityPoint Health.
• Engage with frontline transfer center staff to gather feedback and improvement opportunity and recognize successes
• Recognize opportunities for improvement and develop improvement strategies in partnership with system transfer center leaders

Education: 

• BA/BS in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Allied Health, Project Management, Business, or other clinical field
• Preferred: Master’s Degree in Healthcare related field or MBA

Experience:

• 2 years of Healthcare or access/transfer center experience
• 2 years of experience in implementing information systems, clinical initiatives, and clinical process improvement projects.
