RN - PACU
Part-time, .40 FTE (16 hours/week)
Days, 10:30 am - 7:00 pm
Staff in our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) care for and monitor patients as they recover from the effects of anesthesia. This includes all aspects of patient care following surgery.

Education:
| Graduate of accredited nursing program (Must obtain Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire) | BSN in Nursing |
Experience:
| 12 months of hospital clinical experience or demonstrated clinical efficiency. | Preferred critical care experience. |
License(s)/Certification(s):
| · Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa. · Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within six (6) months from date of hire. · Basic cardiac monitoring within three (3) months · Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within six (6) months and · Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Recognition, and Stabilization (PALS) certification within six (6) months, · Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. | Specialty certification |
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
| · Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English. · Multicultural sensitivity. · Microsoft Office – basic computer skills. · Customer/patient focused. · Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions.
