Overview

Program Manager System Clinical Operations

Days, Full-time

Remote, with need to come onsite to the Des Moines, IA office.

 

This position will focus on creation and execution of action plans for key projects and initiatives within and supporting enterprise Clinical Operations. Project types will focus heavily on process design, improvement, professional practice alignment, and technology deployment within all affiliate entities and enterprise system services. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, this role will frequently interact with a wide variety of individuals within the system Clinical Operations, Nursing, Quality & Safety, Marketing & Communications, Strategy, and Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize established System project management standards, processes, policies, methodologies, and tools to manage timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Oversee project communication strategies, including verbal and written materials.
  • Develop and track quality, performance, and usage metrics and prepares printed and electronic reports for communication of the data as part of the project status reporting.
  • Ensure project work is aligned with the Clinical Operations program priorities.
  • Work closely with divisional and system teams, Systems Services leadership, and system SVPs to ensure tasks are clearly defined and completed on scope, on budget and on-time, and ensures that issues are logged, escalated, and resolved in a timely fashion.
  • Interface with other UnityPoint Health Clinical leadership to align the work with the strategic goals of the enterprise.
  • Interact with team members, patients, and community partners consistently with the mission & values of UnityPoint Health.

 

Qualifications

Education: 

BA/BS in Healthcare Administration, Allied Health, Business or other clinical related field. Masters preferred.

 

Experience:

  • 2 years project management or process improvement experience with proven success of project implementation.
  • Extensive experience managing large, complex enterprise projects within an integrated delivery healthcare system.
  • Experience in implementing information systems, clinical initiatives, and clinical process improvement projects.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and Project Management tools (training can be provided) is essential for this position along with outstanding organizational and communication skills and an overall commitment to best practices and procedures
  • Well-developed soft skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Evidence of flexibility and adaptability to continuously prioritize multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong leadership and multitasking abilities.
