Marketing Communications Service Line Management
• Participates in projects to develop communication plans, evaluation methods and creative direction.
• Work with local departments on activities to achieve business and market goals.
• Requires highly developed communication skills using independent judgement and decision making to effectively work with all levels of management throughout UnityPoint Health Des Moines’ mission and vision.
• Works independently, takes initiative and possesses good organizational abilities.
• Exercises sound judgment, seeking advice when appropriate.
• Contribute to the successful creation of marketing campaigns.
• Coordinate community special events, programs and seminars.
Internal and External Relationship Management
• Build effective relationships with the media and/or community contacts and internal stakeholders.
• Participates in projects that support communications and marketing efforts.
Crisis Communication/Issues Management
• This position may be assigned a specific mission to address in an emergency situation to assist in disaster response and recovery as part of the Hospital Emergency Incident Command System. Situations of a critical nature may require an individual to perform multiple tasks until additional support can be obtained.
• Performs functions other than described due to extenuating circumstances.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Emphasis in journalism, communication, public relations or marketing. preferred.
Experience:
• Requires 1 to 3 years of communications, public relations and/or marketing experience.
• Internship experience in a related field can be taken into consideration.
License(s)/Certification(s):
• Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
