Primary responsibility for day-to-day management of the clinic site including staff scheduling and clinical staff coordination. The Supervisor reports directly to the Manager, Clinic Operations for UnityPoint Health at Work advising of concerns and progress as well as seeking guidance and consent from leadership to coordinate, manage, and monitor all activities of the sites operation to meet the site objectives

Leadership and Management
• Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day workflow of the office including the review of staffing needs and supervision and training of staff in site specific procedures.
• Provide leadership in the clinic, creating a culture of innovation, learning, teamwork and professional practice, consistent with the mission, vision and values of the organization.
• Responsible for ensuring staff are following all established processes to ensure comprehensive and accurate completion of job duties in accordance with established standing orders.
• Provide conflict resolution and supports interpersonal relations with staff identifying and resolving day-to-day issues related to position of oversight.
• Responsible for the scheduling of staff for the assigned unit
• Possess in-depth knowledge of and provide operational support for tasks and job functions performed in areas of responsibility, including protocols, processes, policies and procedures.
• Completes annual performance appraisals for direct reports. Encourages and supports the staff regarding recommended improvements.
• Monitors work performance for assigned direct reports, provides appropriate coaching and direction utilizing resources such as leadership, human resources and corrective action process.
• Assist leadership with all aspects of hiring, interviewing and selecting team members
• Monitor and assure unit ongoing compliance with OHS standard practices and respond to the business needs and procedures.
• Oversee and audit team member documentation
• Conduct ongoing Program Self-Assessments and prepare for periodic 3rd party Health and Safety audits.
• Serves as the primary point of contact and liaison with business partners outside of the assigned unit (i.e. Safety, Labor Relations, Human Resources, Corporate Occ Health, and Global Wellness)
• Order unit supplies
• Respond to customer needs and requests promptly for assigned sites. Involving UnityPoint at Work leadership and keeping the correct positions informed of issues and their resolution.
• Establish effective mechanisms of communication with team members, patients, UnityPoint Health affiliate personnel to foster an environment, of openness, trust, teamwork and staff development.
• Creates and executes successful orientation for new team members onsite
• Works with the leadership to develop an effective training program for new staff and ongoing training for existing staff.
• First line decision maker with respect to employee relations situations; informing appropriate UnityPoint at Work leadership of all employee situations and partnering with appropriate leaders on high level employee situations.
• Balance team and individual responsibilities; be open and objective to other’s views; give and welcome feedback; contribute to positive team goals; and put the success of the team above own interests.
• Serve as subject matter expert for the assigned site and team members.
• Have basic knowledge of all functions and tasks of the assigned site, customers, and UnityPoint Health to assist team members as needed within assigned scope of care.
• Monitor reports and data to ensure assigned area is meeting department goals and key performance indicators.
• Take the leadership role in times of disaster to secure the safety of staff, patients, visitors, the facility and protected health information when possible.
• Manage controllable expenses as assigned.
• Establishing effective mechanisms of communication with staff, providers and clients/patients. Act as a liaison between staff, client, and leadership.
• Support UnityPoint at Work strategic initiatives as requested.
• Responsible for delegated accountability of department metrics.

• Monitor all environmental conditions in order to secure protected health information.
• Behave in a manner consistent with all Corporate Compliance and HIPAA policies and procedures
Education
Bachelor’s degree required OR a combination of education and experience.
Experience
1-3 years of leadership experience
License(s)/Certification(s)
Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
