UnityPoint Clinic is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Clinic Nurse to join our Nephrology team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients managing chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and other renal-related conditions. As a key member of our care team, you’ll work closely with nephrologists, nurse practitioners, and support staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect patient care in the clinic setting

  • Assist with patient assessments, medication administration, and education on chronic kidney disease management

  • Triage incoming calls, assist with scheduling, and coordinate follow-up care

  • Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity and quality of care

  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)

  • Support a clean and safe clinical environment in compliance with infection control protocols

Qualifications

  • Current RN licensure
  • CPR certification
  • Mandatory Reporter certification
  • Ability to direct others and to exercise judgement in problem situations
  • Creative thinking; analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities; self-direction; theoretical implementation and evaluation
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Strong computer skills
  • Able to write, read, comprehend and speak fluent English
  • Computer data entry experience
  • Use of usual/customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
