Painter - Facilities

Full-time, 1.0 FTE

1st Shift: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm

 

As a member of the Facilities team, the Painter will complete all painting throughout the organization. Prepares surfaces, applies finishes or coverings, cleans work area upon completion and documents work performed. Manages inventory of paint and supplies as needed for projects.

Responsibilities

Painting                                              

  • Paint and Wallpaper; prepares surfaces, applies finishes or coverings, cleans work area upon completion, documents work performed, colors used etc.
  • Cabinet and Wood Finishing; prepares surfaces, applies finishes to achieve high quality appearance and durability, cleans work area upon completion, documents work performed, colors used, etc.
  • Installs wall protection devices such as chair rail and FRP panels.
  • Safely utilizes required equipment including scaffold, ladders, sprayers, air purifiers.
  • Manages inventory of paint and supplies as needed for touchups/projects and orders supplies as needed.
  • Self-assigns and completes routine work requests. May be assigned work requests by Manager as appropriate.
  • Acts as first responder and troubleshoots issues within department.

Administrative Tasks

 

  • Utilizes WebTMA system to enter records of work completed and enter work details.
  • Utilizes computers for reference in performing duties
  • Use of email system for communication to receive employee communications and monitor calendar events.
  • Utilizes other systems such as the RL Incident Reporting system to report incidents observed or affecting position.

Qualifications

 

Minimum Requirements

Education:

 

 

 

High School diploma

 

 

 

Experience:

 

 

 

 

2 Years’ experience as a residential, commercial or institutional painter

2 Years’ experience as an institutional painter in a healthcare setting

License(s)/Certification(s):

 

 

Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

 

Basic level skill with Microsoft Outlook and Web Browsing programs.

 

Other:

 

 

 

Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
