Overview

Secretary II

Full Time; FTE 1.0

Monday-Friday; 7:30am-4:00pm. Some Saturdays; 7:00am-12:00pm

Utilizing the FOCUS values, performs filing, record keeping, data entry and reception duties for the cardiac / pulmonary rehab program under the direction of the Department Manager.  Performs work with considerable patient interaction.  Represents UPH Trinity Medical Center and works to improve the health of the communities we serve.

Responsibilities

 

Scheduling coordination

  • Answers all phone inquiries and triages calls to appropriate individuals.
  • Schedules new patient appointments and handles all cancellations and rescheduling of appointments.
  • Documents insurance pre auth requirements and tracks patient utilization of services.

Tracking patients

  • Manages DAR, tracks attendance in classes and files exercise records
  • Coordinates multi department testing for PST visit for OHS program
  • Tracks referral information in data bases.

Patient Relations

  • Greets all patients upon arrival to department
  • Starts new patients on preprogram questionnaires.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

 

Associates Degree with emphasis on secretarial skills and medical terminology.
