The Oncology Services Manager is responsible for the operational management of UnityPoint Health- Des Moines outpatient Medical Oncology, Hematology, and Infusion Services. This role contributes to the development of business, financial, personnel, and marketing plans that foster growth, while meeting patient and provider expectations. Possesses overall managerial responsibility for all aspects of medical oncology, hematology, and infusion services and is accountable for the operational performance, including quality of services, financial performance and competitive market position. Works closely with Executive Director of Oncology and Medical Oncology Providers to collaborate on advancing clinical outcomes and efficiency. The Manager will consistently utilize a holistic approach (considering physical, psychosocial, spiritual, educational, safety, and related criteria) appropriate to the age of the patients served in the assigned service area.

• Responsible for the financial operations of the department including budget preparation, expense management, as well as required reports.

• Knowledgeable and compliant with organizational, regulatory and accreditation standards, ie. National Patient Safety Goals, DNV, American College of Surgeons commission on Cancer, infection control practices, and other state and federal regulations.
• Conducts analysis and prepares action plans in response to labor and departmental variances.
