Responsibilities

This role involves working closely with physicians, patients, and their families to deliver comprehensive nursing care to children. The ideal candidate should have experience in pediatrics, strong communication skills, and a passion for working with children.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient assessments, take vital signs, and record patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and other treatments as prescribed.
  • Assist with examinations, procedures, and other clinical tasks alongside the pediatricians.
  • Educate parents and guardians on care instructions, medications, and any specific needs related to their child’s health.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming clinic environment.
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and child safety standards.
  • Provide comfort and emotional support to young patients and their families.

Qualifications

  • RN License to Practice, State of Iowa.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and medical office software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinic environment and prioritize tasks.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) / Mandatory Reporter.
