Fulltime, 0.9FTE Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Specialty Clinic RN to join our Neurology team. This role requires an experienced nurse to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of neurological disorders. The RN will provide direct patient care, coordinate treatment plans, and work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Assess and monitor patients with neurological conditions, including but not limited to, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and Alzheimer’s disease.
Administer medications, including injections and IV therapies, as prescribed by the physician.
Assist with diagnostic procedures, such as EEGs, EMGs, and lumbar punctures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
Document patient information, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Coordinate care with neurologists, specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive treatment plans.
Provide pre- and post-procedure care for patients undergoing neurological treatments or surgeries.
Offer emotional support to patients and families, answering questions and addressing concerns related to neurological conditions.
Stay updated on the latest research, treatments, and technologies in neurology to enhance patient care.
Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a neurology or specialty clinic setting preferred.
Knowledge of neurological diseases and their treatments.
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to educate patients and families in a clear and compassionate manner.
Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare software.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
