As a member of the interdisciplinary Diagnostic Cardiology team, the Registered Nurse (RN) contributes professional RN knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients undergoing non-invasive cardiac procedures. Noninvasive cardiac procedure includes, but is not limited to, stress tests, tilt tables, transesophageal echocardiograms, cardioversion, Holter and Event monitors, EKGs, and Pacemaker/Loop interrogation. The RN will function in collaboration with the technical staff and under the direction of physicians. The RN will perform the role of admitting, intraprocedural charting and sedation, recovering, and discharging patients. The RN will be able to assist in Cardiac Holding and Vascular/IR Holding with admissions, recovery, and discharges. The RN maintains a practice environment that reflects the ANA Code for Nurses, Philosophy of Nursing at UnityPoint Health within the structure of the Professional Nurse Practice Model and in collaboration with other care givers. This is a fast-paced environment that varies with censuses. Looking for a highly motivated, self-initiating team member to fit into our small team.
