Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, provides non-technical services for the care of the patient.  Performs work of routine difficulty in a variety of cleaning tasks that involve use of hazardous chemicals, heavy lifting in patient rooms, and in the operating rooms (and other surgical areas) of the hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for room turnover in the OR including mopping, sweeping, dusting, stocking supplies and other generalized OR room preparations.
  • Moving and cleaning of equipment
  • Assist in transport of patients
  • Orients patients and/or families to hospital routine
  • Identify and promote safe patient environment

Qualifications

Education: High school graduate or equivalent

License(s)/Certification(s): CPR
