Overview

Clinic RN

CMH Medical Clinic

Full-Time; 40 hours per week (Flexible)

 

Eligible for a $5000 Sign-On Bonus

 

The Clinic LPN will provide direct and indirect patient care for assigned provider and others as necessary in the CMH Medical Clinic. Assists providers with all areas of daily tasks to provide timely and efficient patient care. Communicates clinical information with appropriate providers in a timely manner. Adheres to Community Memorial Hospital’s performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Community Memorial Hospital. This position will be responsible for providing nurse coverage in Family Medicine. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist provider/staff with obtaining basic vital information preparing patient for examination, treatment and minor surgical procedures and obtaining complete medical history per protocols. 
  • Demonstrates competence in the skills necessary to carry out assigned duties. 
  • Act as a liaison with patients, family and providers demonstrating smooth and efficient telephone communication  
  • Telephone triage by providing and documenting of illness/condition; follow-up phone calls regarding patient's health and progress as necessary. 
  • Document care plans, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR) in a timely, clear, and accurate manner; along other documentation needs for continuation of care
  • Perform other duties as requested by Clinic Administrator, Clinic Lead, and Clinical Coordinator to facilitate the smooth and effective operations of the office

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing for Registered Nurse
  • Current license in the state of Iowa or meets criteria established by the Board of Nursing
  • Understand the concepts, principles and practices of a clinic setting
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English

 

Other Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong clinical knowledge for diverse patients.
  • Exhibit progressive thinking towards the electronic medical record.
  • Adapt easily to change in job duties and work environment.
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to convey positive image and communicate tactfully and professionally with staff, patients and the public.
  • Ability to articulate hospital policies and regulations.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people and to work under pressure.
