Responsibilities

Our Foot and Ankle Clinic is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team. The CMA will support healthcare providers by assisting with patient care, treatments, and administrative tasks. If you are dedicated to helping patients regain mobility and are interested in specialized care, we encourage you to apply.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, minor surgical procedures, and treatments related to foot and ankle care.
  • Take patient histories, document symptoms, and measure vital signs for inclusion in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Prepare and maintain examination and treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and readiness for procedures.
  • Provide patient education on foot and ankle care, post-procedure instructions, and preventive measures.
  • Apply and remove dressings, bandages, and other post-treatment materials.
  • Assist with casting, splinting, and bracing as directed by the healthcare provider.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing referrals, and coordinating patient follow-ups.
  • Administer injections, assist with routine lab tests, and ensure accurate charting and documentation.
  • Adhere to clinic protocols and maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patients receive comprehensive and timely care.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Mandatory Reporter training.
  • Previous experience in podiatry, orthopedics, or a foot and ankle specialty is preferred but not required.
