Ensures quality and safe delivery of services to patients according to care plan. Uses equipment and supplies safely, effectively, and efficiently. Develops specific occupational therapy procedures as well as functional activities in accordance with written physician plan of treatment and patient evaluation. Develops and administers plan of treatment including environmental modifications. Participates in regular care planning with other disciplines involved. Instructs patient/family/caregivers in administration of the treatment plan.
Provides evaluations, treatment and discharge planning for referred patients and families. Maintains appropriate case, departmental and hospital records. Communicates in writing and verbally with treatment team. Provides clinical supervision for COTA's as required by OT licensure and requested by Department Director.
Graduate of State Board approved program for Occupational Therapy and valid license as an Occupational Therapist CPR: Maintain a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare provider Card with Re-certification Knowledge of professional occupational therapy and rehabilitation principles and practices Ability to work as a collaborative, inter-disciplinary team member Valid driver's license and automobile insurance in accordance with state and/or organizational requirements
