LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse

Family Medicine Clinic, Merle Hay Road

Des Moines, Iowa

Part-time - 20 hours/week - Monday-Friday 1PM-5PM

A Clinic LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) typically provides direct patient care in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with patient assessments and take vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration rate).
• Administer medications and injections as prescribed by the physician.
• Prepare and assist with medical procedures and examinations.
• Perform routine laboratory tests and collect specimens.
• Provide patient education on self-care and treatment plans.
• Maintain patient records and update medical charts.
• Ensure patient comfort and address any immediate needs or concerns.

• Valid LPN license in the state of practice.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and best practices.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification.
