Under the direction of the Wound Care Center Clinical Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator, the Registered Nurse (RN) primarily provides patient care and handles intake and discharge processes for the Wound Care Center patients as scheduled. The position may also serve as a Case Manager to a group of assigned Wound Care Center patients, as needed.

Education:
| · Graduate of accredited nursing program (Must obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.) | · Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Experience:
|
| · One (1) year of clinical experience in hospital or SNF or LTACH setting. · Wound Care experience |
License(s)/Certification(s):
| · Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa. · Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. · Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. | Medical Surgical, Home Health or Wound Care Certification preferred |
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
| · Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English. · Multicultural sensitivity. · Microsoft Office – basic computer skills. · Customer/patient focused. · Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions.

Other:
| · Satisfactory completion of Finley Nurse Residency program with 1 year of start date for all nurses with minimal or no prior acute care experience. · State of Iowa Mandatory Reporter Training possessed or completed within 6 months of hire. · Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position. · Note: Work may occasionally require travel to other UPH facilities. May drive a UPH vehicle, rental or personal vehicle.
