Overview

Join UnityPoint Health as an HR Service Center Supervisor, where you will play a pivotal role in driving the transformation of shared services operations while ensuring an exceptional employee experience. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the HR Service Center, providing strategic leadership and ensuring that UnityPoint Health team members receive outstanding HR support. In this role, you will partner with leadership to continue to evolve HR service delivery by balancing operational priorities with long-term initiatives that enhance efficiency, consistency, and service excellence. You will also be responsible for evaluating team processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and collaborating closely with HR partners to ensure seamless, people-centered HR service delivery.

 

Hours: Monday-Friday, Days

 

Location: In office or remote/work from home- must reside within the UPH geographies of Iowa, Illinois, & Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

 

  • Lead and Inspire: Provide coaching and leadership to the HR Service Center team, fostering a culture of empowerment, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive Service Excellence: Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality HR support, optimizing performance in a fast-paced and evolving healthcare environment.
  • Champion Employee Experience: Create an environment that prioritizes team member engagement, career development, and well-being, ensuring regular one-on-one meetings and team discussions.
  • Optimize Operations: Establish and maintain efficient workflows, staffing plans, and backup coverage strategies to support scalable and sustainable HR services.
  • Enhance Collaboration: Serve as a key liaison between the HR Service Center, HR Shared Services, Payroll, HRIS, Centers of Excellence (COEs), and regional HR teams to streamline processes and resolve complex situations.
  • Foster Open Communication: Develop transparent, trust-based communication channels across teams to promote alignment, problem-solving, and knowledge sharing.
  • Monitor & Improve Performance: Set and track productivity benchmarks, oversee quality improvement initiatives, and implement solutions to enhance operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

What You'll Need:

 

Education: Bachelor's degree required

 

Experience: 5 years of relevant experience working in HR, or call center operations and shared service operations required

At least 1 year of leadership experience preferred
