As a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients and their families. Maintains a practice environment that reflects the ANA Code for Nurses, Philosophy of Nursing at UnityPoint Health with in the structure of the Professional Nurse Practice Model and in collaboration with other care givers.

Basic UPH Performance Criteria

Education:
| Must have completed an accredited nursing program and possess a valid nursing license.
| BSN is preferred |
Experience:
| Minimum of one year of Medical-Surgical Experience

License(s)/Certification(s):
| Valid nursing license. Certification: BCLS Prior to hire. Must possess or obtain ACLS and PALS within 6 weeks of hire. Completion of one hour of stroke education prior to the end of orientation and annually | Specialty certification is encouraged.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
| Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English. Multicultural sensitivity. Microsoft Office – basic computer skills. Customer/patient focused. Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions.
