Assists in managing the day to day operations of the department utilizing quality, cost effective patient care principles. Supervises, supports and develops department staff. Consistently utilizes a Family Centered holistic approach (considering physical, psych/social, spiritual, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in the assigned service area). Successful performance contributes to a holistic approach to the delivery of services, quality patient/family care, and a high level of satisfaction from patients and families. Blank Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) provides care for children from birth through 17 years of age. A Family-Centered Care approach is implemented in the delivery of patient care. PICU is a newly constructed department with the state of the art equipment. PICU is a 12 bed unit.

Education:
| Graduate of accredited nursing program. | BSN degree. |
Experience:
| Two years of experience as a registered. | Experience in specialty area. Previous management experience. |
License(s)/Certification(s):
| Current Iowa license as a registered nurse. Current BCLS. Successfully complete department PALS certification within one year of hire date. Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
