Director is responsible for the effective operation, leadership, and direction of all components of Center for Heart and Vascular Health. As a member of the UPH-STL operations team, the Director will lead the assigned service line and the team’s commitment to quality, service, growth, safety and fiscal accountability. With the guidance of the senior administrative team and the strategic plan, the Director assumes responsibility for the creation, development and implementation of new programs; identifying opportunities of growth; guides the development of a patient centered service, and helps set the standards in quality, talent management, service and fiscal accountability. He/she will be a liaison for the service line amongst all health care providers, partners and students affiliated with the system. Director promotes an environment, which encourages staff to develop new skills to advance the service line as well as themselves and provides an environment that promotes trust and decision-making at the staff level.

Education:
| Bachelor’s Degree-Health Care Administration, Health Services, Business Administration, or Related field. | Master’s |
Experience:
| 5-7 years of Cardiology experience 2 years of experience working in a healthcare management position or two years of post-graduate health care administration fellowship training | 5-7 years Cardiology Management experience |
License(s)/Certification(s):
| CVT or ARRT certified or eligible or BSN with Cardiology Cath Lab experience. Preferred Certification/Registration: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Iowa Permit to Practice,CVT certification, or Paramedic (EMT-P ) certification

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
| Machines: All Cath/EP Lab equipment, PC Databases associated with equipment. Administrative: Appropriate/effective use of Audix/email communication. Managerial Meeting attendance and participation. Effective and timely communication of problems/concerns (staff and patient related). Demonstrates an understanding of the operational capital budget and their processes. Utilizes available tools for staff education/improvement/discipline. Monitors and enforces Health System policies. Collaborates with other Health System management to resolve issues. Maintains and manages department equipment, inventory and purchasing. Supervises/processes Kronos time keeping. | Finance and business planning skills |
