Younker 7 is a 22-bed general medicine floor with a diverse patient population that provides many learning opportunities. We collaborate closely with resident physicians to pilot projects that positively impact patient care. Leadership encourages nurses by promoting autotomy through critical thinking and the use of nursing clinical judgement. Clinical Excellence/Patient Care

Education:
| ·Enrolled in a formal BSN or ADN nursing program to include completion of introductory clinical nursing course with clinical component.
·Team members within UPH-DM may remain in Student Nurse tech role for up to 6-months after passing the board and achieving RN license. |

Experience:
|
·Completion of 1 RN clinical rotation
| ·Six months of nursing assistant experience |
License(s)/Certification(s):
| ·Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. Must possess and maintain current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification or obtain certification within three months from date of hire. |

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
| ·Ability to identify patients' needs and implement nursing care for a group of patients under the supervision of a RN/Clinical Instructor. ·Writes, reads, comprehends, and speaks fluent English. ·Multicultural sensitivity. ·Microsoft Office – basic computer skills. ·Customer/patient focused. ·Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions. ·Ability to use discretion and courtesy when working with patients, visitors, and staff. ·Ability to prioritize simultaneous situations. |
