The Physical Therapist functions as an integral part of the rehabilitation team and has a responsibility for evaluation and treating patients requiring services associated with physical therapy. The Physical Therapist is expected to communicate with the physicians and referring providers regarding the patients treatment plan and progress and deliver services consistent with policies and procedures governing the delivery of patient care by the Rehabilitation Department, State Licensure and Code of Ethics standards.

Education:
| Graduate of an Accredited Physical Therapy Program (Masters or Doctorate level) Completion of four hours of stroke education prior to the end of orientation and annually |

License(s)/Certification(s):
| Current licensure in good standing to practice as a PT in Iowa Must possess and maintain current BLS certification or obtain certification within three months from date of hire. Completion of four hours of stroke education prior to the end of orientation and annually. | Membership in Professional Association is desirable. |
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
| Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English. Multicultural sensitivity Basic Computer skills Customer/patient focused. |
