Clinical Education Specialist- Clinical Simulations

Functions as a staff development specialist to analyze learning needs and develop appropriate simulation education plans to meet the needs of the service line and organization. Assesses, develops, and implements orientation and education programs for employees to positively impact the quality of patient care. Coordinates, influences, and assists with the integration of research findings into simulations. Serves as a strong mentor and guide to other educators within the organization.

| Minimum Requirements Identify items that are minimally required to perform the essential functions of this position. | Preferred or Specialized Not required to perform the essential functions of the position. |
Education:
| Master’s Degree in Nursing or commitment to obtain within 5 years | Master’s degree with emphasis in education |
Experience:
| A minimum of 3 years of patient care experience.
| Simulation education experience preferred. |
License(s)/Certification(s):
| Current State RN license Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. Certified BLS Instructor | Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator is preferred or commitment to obtain within 3 years. ACLS or PALS Instructor is highly recommended or commitment to obtain.
