Neurology/Oncology Registered Nurse

 

$10,000 Sign-on Bonus

 

Shifts Available:

  • 3 days a week, 12 Hour Shift, Nights 7PM- 7AM, every third weekend
  • 3 days a week, 12 Hour Shift, Day/Nights 7PM- 7AM, every fourth weekend
  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Nights 7PM-7AM
  • WEP Nights Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun

Responsibilities

 

  • Perform comprehensive assessments, incorporating patient history, physical exams, diagnostic data, and patient input to develop nursing diagnoses and care goals.
  • Collaborate with patients and families to create a care plan focused on their unique needs and preferences.
  • Provide education on pre- and post-operative procedures, diagnostic testing, discharge planning, and preventive care.
  • Assess and adapt patient education strategies based on patient and family needs (age, culture, readiness to learn).
  • Mentor new associates and act as a preceptor when needed.
  • Engage in hospital governance and performance improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Graduate of accredited nursing program
  • Possess current RN licensure in the State of Iowa or compact state
  • Maintain Current BLS Certification
  • Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English
  • Multicultural sensitivity required
