Patient Care Technician-Powell 5 Neuro Surgical/Trauma - Methodist

Shifts:  Days; Full and Part Time

             Evenings; Full and Part Time

             Nights; Full and Part Time

Each shift requires every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation

Full Time Sign-On Bonus: $3,000 paid over 1 year

 

Powell 5 is a 25-bed Neurosurgical, Trauma and Orthopedics unit providing services to inpatients and short-term observation patients. Powell 5 is an interregnal part of the Level 1 Trauma program and holds The Blue Distinction for the care we give patients with total hip and total knee replacements. Responsibilities

  • PCTs will perform patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.
  • Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients.
  • Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
  • Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service. 

Qualifications

  • Must be 16 years old or older.
  • Minimum of 75 hour Certified Nursing Aid certification required.Indicate on your application which CNA certification you possess (75 hour, 120 hour or 150 hour). Only applications with this information indicated will be considered.
  • Dept of Labor Level III (Medium) Work. Candidates must successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment strength and agility test at Medium Level of Work.
