Responsible for the monitoring, interpretation, and communication of patient heart rhythms. Performs EKG’s as ordered. Monitors and communicates any changes for patients with capnography.

Education:
| High school diploma or equivalency
| Certified Nursing Assistant Emergency Medical Technician Certification Paramedic Certification |
Experience:
|
| Certified nursing assistant in an acute care environment |
License(s)/Certification(s):
| Certified in Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire |

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
| Basic computer knowledge and the ability to document accurately and timely Ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a varied patient population and the health care team Effectively communicates with all team members, physicians, ancillary staff and all customers. Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English. | Knowledge of basic medical terminology is preferred

Other:
| Completes annual mandatory education Able to wear personal protective equipment (e.g., face mask, goggles, latex/non-latex gloves) as needed
| Seeks to be involved in unit improvements, quality projects, and other enhancements to patient care.
