Job Title:  Clinical Lab Scientist

A Clinical Lab Scientist is a professionally trained and highly knowledgeable individual that performs clinical laboratory testing and assists in promoting a quality of service based on accuracy and timeliness in reporting results.  Under general supervision, the Clinical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for assisting the department manager in the effective operation of the laboratory through the coordination of all activities in their respective responsibilities.

Qualifications

 

Minimum Requirements

 

Preferred or Specialized

 

Education:

 

 

 

Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology. Education must meet the requirements defined in CLIA regulation 42CFR493.1489

 

Experience

 

 

3 months of experience in/with clinical laboratory background associated with degree. Successful completion of competencies

 

License(s)/Certification(s):

 

 

 

 

 

While certification of technical personnel by a professional organization, such as ASCP is highly desirable, such certification is voluntary and may be obtained at the discretion of the employee.
