Job functions include:
• Print and review patient daily schedule
• Demonstrates competence in the clinical skills necessary to carry out assigned job duties.
• Become familiar with the Vidyo Cart platform and troubleshooting techniques.
• Navigate the tele-cart to multiple patient rooms throughout the Hospital.
• Follow instructions from the Tele-Hospitalist.
• Place digital tele-stethoscope on patient so that tele-hospitalist is able to hear heart and lung sounds.
• Contact Nursing staff if tele-hospitalist is requiring any patient assessment.
• Practices and reflects knowledge of IPAA, TJC, DNV, OSHA and other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare. Provide information to appropriate regulatory agencies, (i.e. health department).



  • Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants.
  • High school diploma required if work is performed in a moderately complex CLIA lab.



  • Previous clinical experience in a medical office preferred.
  • Computer data entry experience.



  • Current CME certification for Certified Medical Assistant and AAMA, NCCT, RMA or NHA (Peoria region only) certification.
  • BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.
  • Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.



  • Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English.
